Just you and me — and that’s enough.
It means I wake up in the morning and not only say “I give thanks before You,”
but act out of gratitude.
Not to check a box, not to earn rewards,
but to live the life You gave me fully and humbly.
Not to change the world,
but to experience eternal meaning.
I love waking up early and studying Torah —
but I don’t always find purpose in it.
You said it’s not good for man to be alone —
so I keep seeking connection.
Studying Torah alone in a room is beautiful,
but it doesn’t create bonds.
Writing plays and books and scripts is pleasant and fulfilling,
but it can also drown the soul in endless ambition.
And when that happens,
when the soul gets lost in its own striving,
I sometimes feel the pull of that strange sense that none of this is real —
a familiar moment of spiritual denial and the illusion of normalcy.
That’s why I chose to write and publish online.
Because I can,
and because there’s a chance that what I write will reach someone — and touch them.
And then, we’re no longer alone.
I don’t want to pressure you,
or anyone else — not even myself.
I do what I do because I have to,
because I love it,
and because I cherish truth.
There is a truth in Torah and in life
greater than any good or evil we can imagine.
A single person rising in the morning, driven by something they can’t explain,
going about their daily work…
May our work stand shoulder to shoulder with God’s will.
May we come to align our will with His,
so that He aligns His will with ours.
And may we learn to let go of our own will before His,
so that He may cancel the will of those who wish to reshape our desires to serve only theirs.
If this moved you — even just a little — I’d love to hear from you.
You’re welcome to explore the full stages of return to God and continue this journey.
We don’t need crowds.
Just you and me… that’s enough. ✍️
