TeshuvaTale is not a website. It’s a whisper. A question. A trace of longing wrapped in words. Here, we gather the untold stories of those who turned around, not because they were perfect, but because they were willing to be broken in the direction of truth. We believe teshuva (return) is not a one-time moment, but a lifelong unfolding.
We are people who stopped pretending. We’re not here to judge your path, we’re here to hold it up to the light. The project was founded by Erez Polak, a Jewish playwright and writer from Israel now living in Canada. His journey, both geographical and spiritual, inspired this archive of return. It is his offering. And it is now yours.
I didn’t plan to write teshuva. I wrote what I couldn’t hold. The rest followed. My name is Erez Polak. I’m a Jewish playwright and writer, born in Israel, now living in Calgary. My life has never followed a clean line, neither in geography nor in faith. But somewhere between the silence of exile and the noise of return, I began to write. Not from conviction, but from fracture. I don’t believe in perfection. I believe in motion. In getting up when no one’s watching. I’m wrestling with God until He becomes a question again. This site is not a portfolio. It’s a mirror. Every story you read here has touched me before it reached you. Every word I publish is part of my own TeshuvaTale.
