Longing

A yearning for what once was, or never was, and maybe never will be.

What Is Longing?

Longing is the hope that someone will fix what they broke — without admitting they broke it. It’s the silence after the explosion, when we wish someone would say something real, but instead we hear only words meant to soothe us, not see us. Longing is that moment we realize the face that returned to us is just another mask.

A Personal Moment of Longing

Blog Posts

You know those moments after a big fight or rupture — when the person who hurt you starts treating you like nothing happened? You thought the world had learned something about you. That it would change its ways. But then, the same false smile appears. The same deceptive routine. And you realize: they’re only saying what you want to hear so you’ll stop being an obstacle in their life. But I’m not an obstacle. I just… exist. And you exist. And that’s already too much. My true longing: That we stop pretending. That we say aloud — You are an obstacle because you are bound to me, and I don’t know how to bear it. I don’t wish for you to vanish. I just wish you had never existed in my world. And so, instead of erasing you — I dream of erasing myself.

Can This Fracture Ever Be Healed?

We believe in your voice.
Not through rational conversation. Not through apologies. Not through another night pretending everything is back to “normal.” Because “normal” was the biggest lie of all. The break is older than the hope — and greater. And when I grieve, I grieve what can never be.

Philosophical Reflection

Longing is not hope. It doesn’t seek resolution, only recognition. It doesn’t ask for someone — it asks for truth, even if that truth wounds. It is a cry that would rather die than keep pretending. And perhaps… that’s where truth begins.

Questions & Answers

Is longing a weakness?

No. It’s unguarded truth. An open wound is better than a fake healing.

Because longing isn’t about outcomes — it simply doesn’t know how to stop.

Write. Cry. Go quiet. But don’t forget. Longing is proof your heart is still alive.
